New Avenues ILP Evaluation Design

The goal of this project is to design a long-term evaluation plan for PDX-Connect, which is the new Independent Living Program (ILP) at New Avenues for Youth. This evaluation design effort includes developing areas of alignment and potential overlap with related New Avenues programs serving foster youth, as well as programs for homeless and runaway youth being served by the agency. This project follows the "embedded researcher" model promoted by the Regional Research Institute within the School of Social Work, which co-locates an early-career investigator and/or doctoral student within an agency to focus on agency-driven research and evaluation to improve services. This embedded researcher partnership with New Avenues is funded by the Morgan Family Foundation
